6:00-7:00   Session 1
7:00-7:30   Buffet Dinner

Location:   Embassy Suites Hotel, 9300 Baymeadows Blvd Jacksonville, FL

Session 1:
Socializing Business Process Improvement Initiatives throughout the Organization

Too frequently, business process improvement initiatives are “lost” within the organization – not enough people know what is going on and why changes are being made in how the work is done – and there is no consistency in how the initiatives are managed. Business process improvement initiatives are strategic initiatives that impact the entire organization and they need to be socialized across the enterprise! This presentation will provide participants with best practices around socializing their business process improvement initiatives. Participants will take back to the job ways to engage the organization in understanding and supporting business process improvement initiatives.

Session 2:
Best Practices for Creating a Continuous Change and Improvement Culture in Your Organization

Every organization benefits from continuous change and improvement - it is what helps us stay ahead of the competition and better meet the needs of our clients! This presentation will provide best practices to create and foster a culture of continuous change and improvement within an organization - regardless of the organization size. Benefits of creating such a culture along with best practices for moving toward becoming an organization that continuously focuses on improvement will be provided. Participants will learn how to effectively get the buy-in needed to move to an improvement-focused culture within their organization - and they don’t have to be on the senior leadership team to be successful in this regard!

Overview:

Projects are one negotiation after another.  Negotiation skills are among the most important any project manager can possess.   This course features a major new case study from Northwestern University’s Dispute Resolution Resource Center. The case exercise, which spans across both days, thrusts participants into the position of negotiators who must deliver results against a deadline. Do you establish alliances or go on your own? Do you include your opponent … or fight them?  As Walt Disney demonstrated years ago the most effective learning situations are taught through experience, not lecture. If you want to sit down and have someone talk at you for two days this is NOT the course for you. You will be engaged, energized and stretched.
