John Watson is a Project Management Professional with extensive leadership and management experience. John has a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Eckerd College and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Villanova. He retired in May 2006 from BellSouth, after working in the communications industry for over thirty years. During that time he served as an operations, project, staff and program manager. As a staff manager he supported the Florida operations team with responsibilities for long range planning and project management initiatives. His final years were with BellSouth Communication Systems as a Program Manager for Florida, supporting and developing the Data Networking projects portfolio. Since retiring and enjoying a year of travel and recreational activities, John has become active again in the Project Management community and was a volunteer conference coordinator for the chapter’s conference in 2007. In addition to his volunteer activities and pursuing his recreational interests, he is self employed providing consulting services in project management, business development and process improvement engagements.

Steve has been a member of PMI since 1997, and has held his PMP certification since 2001. Of his 18 years of consulting experience with Xcelligent, Sogeti, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and EDS, 15 years of that time were focused on providing Project Management consultation to Fortune 500 clients. Most recently Steve held various committee positions for the 2007 Regional Conference of the Project Management Institute Northeast Florida Chapter.

Steve is a Senior Director for Xcelligent, LLC where he is a Business Process and Project Management consultant. He is the Practice Manager for the Xcelligent Jacksonville office. As a senior member of Xcelligent's Service Delivery team, Steve also contributes to their methodology and best practices.

Leigh Gardner, PMP, has 10+ years project management experience in the health care information technology industry. She is currently a project manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, where she has also served as a PMP mentor to others pursuing their certification. Leigh is dedicated to promoting the principles of the PMBOK in a practical and sensible way. She earned her PMP in 2002 and has supported PMI-NEFL by volunteering on the annual PMI conference committee and in chapter communications. She received her BA in Secondary Education from the University of North Florida.

     
Donna Casey, PMP

Donna Casey, PMP, is an IT professional with 22 years experience working in the Government sector. She has held positions at all levels including junior programmer, senior programmer, systems analyst, material developer and IT project manager. She is currently the Information, Integration and Implementation Branch Chief of the Information Management Office, US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District. Donna also holds a Chief Information Officer certificate, Information Resources Management College, National Defense University, Fort McNair, Washington DC.

Donna joined PMI and the NEFL chapter in June 2005; becoming active in the chapter after earning her PMP in September 2005. Donna got involved with the Corporate Outreach efforts working with Jeff Scott and the other committee members in the preparation and presentation of PMI’s benefits to local businesses. Donna assisted with the planning of the registration desk function for the annual conference held in August 2006. She has also assisted Dale Kaminer, 2006’s VP of Membership, with several of those duties including greeting new members and reporting on membership to the board.

Ed Thomson, PMP, has over a decade of experience as an IT Professional.  He is experienced in leadership, program management and project management in both technical and business organizations.  Ed is a certified project management professional (PMP), with extensive experience in application development, process improvement, and organizational strategy. Ed received his BS in Computer Science and MBA in Finance from California State University.
 
Ed is committed to bringing the art of project management to the masses.

     
Tracy Dixon, PMP VP Education & Certification

Tracy Dixon, PMP, has over eight years of project management experience, primarily focused on software and related technology projects. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering in 2001, she earned both her MBA and PMP in 2005. She currently works as a Senior Project Manager in the Property Insight division of Fidelity National Financial.

Tracy became active as a volunteer within the national and local PMI groups in early 2006. She has worked as part of the national team editing the Project Manager Competency Development standard. Within the local team, she served as project manager in 2006 and chairman in 2007 for the PMI-NEFL Regional Conference planning committee.

Tracy’s responsibilities as VP of Education & Certification are to communicate information on local and online study groups and educational opportunities, answer questions from members on how to become and stay certified, organize bimonthly lunch ‘n learn events, and lead the planning effort for the PMI-NEFL Regional Conference.

       
  Tim Egan, PMP VP Special Projects  
 
Tim is a charter and founding board member of the North East Florida Chapter of PMI, and is a Charter and Founding Board member.  He has served in various board positions, and was the Chapter President for 2000-20001, and has also done volunteer work with the Information Systems Specific Interest Group.

Tim is currently a Vice President and Senior Project Manager with Fidelity Information Systems.  He has also held the position of Chief Technologist, Project Management and Methods for ALLTEL Information Systems, and has held various positions in the Project Management,  Professional Development and Training business. Tim has over 20 years of
project and program management experience within the information systems arena.  Additionally, he has been responsible for managing training programs and support services in the United States Air Force.  While in the USAF, Tim was the Director of Training for the Senior Information Management Officer program, where he designed, developed, and taught courses in business administration, project management, customer service, systems, applications, strategic planning, and resource management.

Tim has an M.S. in Management from Troy State University, a B.A. inPsychology from the State University of New York at Albany, and an MIS Industry Fellowship from the US Air Force Institute of Technology, and obtained his PMP certification in 1998.
 
     
Jeff Scott, PMP

Mr. Scott is a certified Project Management Professional with extensive IT experience in systems development that spans many types of systems/applications and industries including financial services, healthcare, and aerospace.  He has a vast experience in program/project management with many successes in leading project teams and driving execution over large complex projects through successful completion.  In addition to his PMP certification, Mr. Scott's academic achievements consist of a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Electrical Engineering. Mr. Scott is currently employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida as a senior project manager in the IT Information Management organization. Mr. Scott is also an active member of the Northeast Florida PMI chapter located in Jacksonville Florida.  He has served as an active PMI board member since 1997 in various roles including VP Finance, VP Membership, and VP Communications.
